Card body characteristics

G&D offers driver’s licenses to suit customer requirements made from 100% polycarbonate, durable PEC specially developed by G&D, or PVC. To guarantee a long life and allow for the numerous environmental influences on the card, G&D recommends driver’s licenses made from polycarbonate.

Electronic components

In addition to the card body, security is reinforced by the electronic components – microprocessor, operating system, and application – in the card. We have prepared a variety of different microprocessors for our customers. These offer a broad spectrum of product types, in combination with the STARCOS native operating system or alternatively the Sm@rtCafe Expert Java-based solution.
