Shimmery inks make counterfeiters pale with worry

STEP was developed by G&D as a highly sophisticated optically variable security feature and represents an overt security element that can be identified without using an authentication tool. Depending on your viewing angle, the optically variable color clearly changes from blue to green. The name STEP stands for “Shimmery Twin Effect Protection”.

In addition, the STEP Watcher, a handy reader, can be used to identify a covert feature. When you view the seal through this filter, a hidden structure appears, e.g. a logo specified by the customer.
