The StarSign Crypto USB Token is an entirely new, significantly more powerful member of Giesecke & Devrient’s StarSign Token Family. It is a solution both for the end-user market such as banking, online gaming, online gambling and the enterprise market for secure log-in, digital signature, document and e-mail encryption, secure banking, and much more. The token implements and utilizes standard interfaces. It does not require any additional drivers and supports all state-of-the-art host operating systems. The FIPS 140-2 level 3 certification is planned for End of Q4 2011.

• Easy, efficient & flexible
  StarSign Crypto USB Token offers a plug & play solution that uses a CCID interface. No additional drivers need to be installed to run the token on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, which means flexibility for users at its best. On request the token will be supported by Linux Ubuntu, Red Hat, Fedora, Suse, and Mandriva as well as Mac OS 10.5.
• Modern design & individual issuer branding
  Boasting a new design, yet fully integrated into the family design concept, its small size guarantees that additional USB devices can be used in adjacent USB ports.
  The modern design leaves maximum space for individual issuer branding on the wing cap.
• Top level security across all market segments
  Since the token is based on the most modern JavaCard-based Smart Card Operating System Sm@rtCafé Expert, it is possible to integrate further applications at any time. The operation will be secured by its wide range of crypto features such as RSA, elliptic curves and SHA 512.
• FIPS certification
  The entire token will have FIPS 140-2 level 3 certification by the end of 2011 as it is made of certified materials and features G&D’s established smart card security.
