Qualify new UICC, eUICC, and iUICC products for North American MNO and OEM customers. Provide full life cycle management for associated product lines including presales support, requirements management, development, qualification, certification and post-sales support. Coordinate delivery of UICC and related secure element products with R&D, Software Solutions, Product Integration, Test Engineering and Order Management.     
Senior Project/Account Management for large, critical customers (North American tier 1 MNOs and OEMs) leading multifaceted projects involving new complex technologies.  Requires leadership in direct interface and coordination with G+D’s major MNO and OEM customer base, 3rd party partners, and internal staff, providing customer support in a senior technical discipline to insure all aspects of the engineering projects meet functional, operational and delivery requirements.  Projects include; development of operational performance specifications and profile content for UICC cards, software development of mobile value-added-services, development and testing of compliant UICC cards.  Responsibilities include: Direct customer interfacing to identify, document and develop project requirements, create implementation plans and schedules in cooperation with the customer and G&D Telecom sales/engineering team; create UICC profiles and test cards, integration and test of UICCs in customer’s wireless communications network.  Coordination with internal order processing/production, as well as production subsidiaries and third party vendors to insure all project objectives are fulfilled accurately and on schedule.  Coordinate with customers and internal management teams on status, schedules and updates.

Technical Support to Sales and Marketing focused on developing business in the telecommunications market and preserving and fostering growth in client relationships.  This includes participation in sales calls, trade shows, and industry meetings to establish customer leads and grow existing customer relationships.  Organize meetings and develop custom presentations to address specific account requirements and required smart card applications.  Contribute to Commercial Proposal generation efforts.  Identify and cultivate new services and application deployment opportunities with customers and partners.  Advise and assist in the development of product demonstrations.

Travel required - approximately 25-35%

  • Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Technical project management experience of managing large scale projects with complex new technologies
  • Account management of large, critical customers
  • 3 years of smartcard experience preferably UICC experience for wireless communication networks (CDMA, IMS, 3G, LTE, etc.)
  • 5 years of experience working directly with customers on technical requirements
  • 5 years of wireless telecom industry experience
  • Good verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills a must.
