This role would be providing 2nd/3rd level Application support of Java based applications (e.g. Web, Portal, etc.) in Payment domain to achieve high availability of service.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Support Engineer - Level 2/3 applications support, administration, maintenance, customization, integration, verification, deployment of respective applications. The candidate should be flexible to work shifts/weekends as & when required

Education & Training:

  • B.Sc / BCS or equivalent from a reputed university
  • B.E would be an added advantage
  • ITIL V3 foundation level certification preferred

Technical know-how:


  • Java/JEE, Spring (Core, WS, Remoting, Security), Hibernate, JPA, RMI
  • Exposure to Linux, SQL, scripting, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss/Tomcat, Liferay, Web Application and Portal Server Technology, HTML/CCS, VPN, Identity Management, and Single-SignOn, RDBMS , Oracle / MySQL
  • Analyzing JBoss/Tomcat and Apache , RDBMS (MySQL and Oracle) log/output files
  • Exposure to Support/request tracking tools (e.g. IBM Maximo) or similar

Good to know:

  • Exposure to RCP, JUnit, JMS, JAXB API, XML/XSD , SOAP, WSS, JAX-WS
  • Experience in application-support workflow, deployment, and ensuring continuous operation of high-availability applications and services
  • Exposure to Tools such as Eclipse, Maven, Hudson, JMeter, Selenium, Subversion/Clear Case, Clear Quest/ Jeera, DOORS
  • Basic network knowledge including HTTP(S)-protocol, experience with monitoring-tools such as Nagios would be a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Product/”Customer First” attitude and flexible approach to work is an absolute must
  • Should be flexible to work shifts/weekends as & when required
  • Identify areas for improvement that will result in improving product efficiency, customer satisfaction, and adding value
  • Exposure to work in cross-cultural, international environment is desired
  • Very good English, fluently written and spoken.

  • Total : 3- 9 years of experience in supporting Java / JEE based application (Level 2/3)
  • Relevant: 2+ of experience preferably in administration and support of Web and Portal applications for Senior Engineer
