Remote SIM Activation
Most SIMs – even eSIMs - need to be personalized and configured for certain services to work properly. This typically happens at the Point of Sale (PoS). AirOn360® SDM performs the required SIM personalization upon SIM activation remotely. Subscribers do not need to go to the PoS and are able to use their new SIM and its services instantly.
Optimized SIM logistics
Having multiple different SIM profiles either for different subscriber groups or MVNOs means significant SIM stock keeping, distribution and logistics challenges that come with costs. With AirOn360® SDM you can reduce it to a single stock keeping unit. Specific SIM profiles or corporate identities could be easily created remotely just as cards are activated
SIM update
New devices in the market might cause unexpected errors in your network or new SIM-based services need to be rolled out. AirOn360® SDM allows you to easily send remote updates to your SIMs in the field during their entire lifetime, e.g. file system updates, applet updates, and device specific settings on the SIM.
5G enabling
You still have non- 5G SIMs in your network but already turned on 5G? AirOn360® SDM can convert your non-5G SIMs remotely into Transitional 5G SIMs without the need for a SIM replacement.
Mobile Device Management
Specific devices might need specific SIM profile configurations. AirOn360® SDM can automatically detect the type of device and trigger the provisioning of device settings and/or perform necessary SIM updates remotely based on the capability of the device. Roaming steering
Based on the roaming agreements an MNO has with each roaming partner, there are preferred networks to roam on for each outbound subscriber in each country. AirOn360® SDM allows you to steer traveling subscribers to thepreferred roaming partner’s network via PLMN-batches or with our SmartRoam Hybrid solution by downloading network partner lists received from 3rd-party vendors to the SIM.
