Create the best first impression – with the power of BLE*-enhanced packaging.
Convego® Smart Package, from Giesecke+Devrient (G+D), offers a solution. It consists of a small, low-power, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-equipped tag that can be discretely incorporated into a wide variety of card packaging designs.
This tag is personalized to the recipient, and once it detects that it is in range of the customer’s mobile device, it can trigger an alert – delivered via SMS or through their banking app – that their card has arrived and can be activated, along with a prompt to begin that process. The tag is small, discreet, and made from sustainable materials, and is equipped with a long-lasting battery for up to 36 months of operation.

Easy activation with the power of AI
Once the package is detected near the cardholder’s mobile phone, there is an option for an AI-generated voice or video bot to call the card holder to:
- Authenticate the cardholder via voice or video (if enabled).
- Obtain voice or video acknowledgement from the cardholder that the card has been received.
- If the cardholder confirms that they want to activate their card, the AI bot can send a secure activation request to G+D’s Convego® Smart Package Server.
