G+D wins €260 million contract in Egypt

Munich, January 16, 2018 – Global security technology group Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) has today announced the conclusion of a major contract. The Central Bank of Egypt has commissioned G+D with planning and building an integrated plant for the production and processing of bank notes in Egypt’s new administrative capital, southeast of Cairo. The project, with a volume of around €260 million, includes cutting-edge IT and security infrastructure as well as the setup of further regional centers.

G+D Mobile Security supports Rabobank in launching a sophisticated and secure mobile payment solution

In addition, G+D Mobile Security`s Convego® AppWorld solution enables Rabobank to build their own mobile ecosystem around mobile payments with a rich choice of value-added services. “Rabo Wallet” users can therefore not only manage their mobile payment cards and make mobile payments - they can also instantly activate other services like parking and a storage function for customer shop and loyalty cards.

G+D Mobile security provides mobile payment solution for Erste Austria

Munich (Germany), November 27, 2017 – Erste Bank und Sparkassen recently launched within their “George Go” app the first Mobile Payment Wallet in the Austrian market based on HCE (Host Card Emulation) technology. It is powered by G+D Mobile Security’s Convego® CloudPay solution and initially supports Mastercard and at a later stage also other card products of the portfolio. This Mobile Payment solution is the first commercial launch based on the framework agreement between Erste Group and G+D Mobile Security to provide mobile payment solutions to Erste Group issuer banks.
