Area Sales Manager - Connectivity and Devices

Responsible for Sales of Telecom Products and Solutions in the Middle East region in coordination with Director of Sales and in compliance with the regional sales strategy

Key Result Areas / Responsibilities:

  • Sales of Telecom, Solutions and Products (e.g. SIM, SIM Packaging, Applications, Software Licenses, Over The Air Platforms, Mobile Marketing, eSIM and others) in Middle East region in coordination with Director of Sales and in compliance with regional sales strategy

  • Establish and maintain strong and firm relationship with customers and partners

  • Gain new operators. Introduce and explain company product portfolio.

  • Attend to the customer during the complete business cycle and follow up project milestones in close cooperation with Sales Administration

  • Monitor market activities, identify customer future needs, and update Product Marketing and Management.

  • Report activities and results and update forecasts in line with company policies and procedures.

  • Achieve minimum 100% of assigned sales targets (e.g. Revenue, Gross margin and EBIT targets) as well as company objectives for the allocated sales area

  • Liaise and negotiate with very high ranking public and private sector staff

  • Close deals, sign sales and maintain contracts with direct customers

  • Choose, train and monitor sales partners of the company in the region

  • Update “Customer Relationship Management” (CRM) systems (external & internal customers), Calendar, Pipeline, Order & Management data

  • Involves in project cost calculation and project / company risk management
    (Machines, hardware, network and related equipment, Software costs, Production people, Marketing and sales costs, Maintenance, Service centre and administration)

  • Participate constructively in preparation of strategy plan and budget following year.

  • Travel extensively within sales area to build up and maintain customer relationship

  • Attend as exhibitor, at exhibitions, promoting company products and solutions.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced technical or business related degree
    (Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Business Administration “MBA”)

  • 5 years of experience in direct and indirect sales, ideally in Telecom related field in the MEA region, consistently meeting or exceeding the targets

  • To be au fait with high level decision makers

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Adequate knowledge in Project Management

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory and Arabic is a plus.

  • Must be willing to travel extensively within the sales region (about 70%)

  • Must be structured, organized and cost conscious (e.g. travel, mobile, expenses)

  • Active team player with positive attitude, support other team members and central organization.
