Strategic Category Manager IT (m/w/d)

For our department Procurement we are looking for a Strategic Category Manager IT (m/f/d) based in Munich. Role

• In your role, you will take on the processing of purchasing processes in direct purchasing with a focus on project-specific IT hardware and software, related licenses and services.
• You take over the negotiations of purchase and service contracts, including legal expertise, based on your product group strategy and project requirements.
• You will further develop the existing purchasing and product group strategy and analyze the market and develop sustainable, successful supplier relationships.
• You initiate and independently implement measures and projects to reduce and avoid costs in the infeed and together with the users.
• Participating in and taking over procurement processes in projects (matrix procurement) and preparing commercial and technical evaluations of offers with award proposals are also part of your area of responsibility.
• You report and prepare relevant KPIs and maintain them in purchasing dashboards.
• You monitor supplier performance and take effective measures in the event of any deviations, including the processing of recourse.
• You are also IT interface manager for the group of companies and take on projects for digitization 4.0 in purchasing.

Profile

• You are a passionate buyer, have an affinity for technology and good communication skills. In addition to your experience (at least 3 years) of international (project) procurement in the area of IT hardware and software, licenses and services, you have successfully completed your studies. (BS or equal.)
• Your high level of expertise in procurement processes and methods as well as your negotiating and persuasive skills complete your profile.
• You speak business English fluently and have intercultural sensitivity
• You have knowledge of contract management and -law.
• You are characterized by your proactive, pragmatic and structured working style, as well as your distinctive team orientation, commitment and a high degree of self-motivation.
• You are experienced in using MS Office and have in-depth knowledge of SAP MM, ideally S/4 HANA and SRM tools and Power BI.
