Munich, February 23, 2018 – G+D recently joined the European data alliance VERIMI (www.VERIMI.com) with partners like Allianz, Daimler, Lufthansa and Deutsche Telekom. VERIMI is the new European identity and data platform. This includes a safe and easy-to-use single sign-on functionality, but also the management of personal information. Its secure identity management solution for private customers and service providers is scheduled to be launched in Germany in late spring 2018. It will be secured with a solution developed by G+D Mobile Security, the Trusted Application Kit (TAK). TAK is designed to protect mobile apps against data, identity and know-how theft, fraud, identity misuse and malware. TAK ensures privacy compliant and secure processing of data and the security of iOS and Android apps. The solution will be shown at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (February 26th to March 1st) at G+D Mobile Security’s booth in Hall 7 (Booth 7A41).

Munich, February 22, 2018 – At this year`s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (February 26 to March 1), G+D Mobile Security showcases a sophisticated mobile authentication solution, enabling banks and other financial institutions to implement strong biometric authentication for their mobile banking and payment services. The solution is powered by Samsung SDS Nexsign software. Nexsign is a FIDO (Fast Identity Online)-certified authentication solution with unique features for financial institutions that allows users to apply multiple biometric features such as fingerprint, face, and voice credentials for accessing mobile banking services. End customers benefit from a very simple authentication, as they no longer need to handle long and complex passwords.

This new concept provides comprehensive security features for new and evolving business models where connected car, mobility and autonomous driving services are being designed and monetized. G+D’s Automotive Security Management Framework as a Service provides a security foundation for this increasingly relevant service development. The framework can be customized by car manufacturers and service providers to configure and manage their individual security policies to address the evolving business needs. Munich, February 19, 2018 – Deutsche Telekom has conducted a tender process which resulted in G+D Mobile Security being chosen as the supplier for eSIM management of private users’ mobile devices. Deutsche Telekom is thus expanding its eSIM platform, in order to prepare for the increasing availability of mobile devices with a pre-installed embedded SIM card (eSIM), as well as rising user numbers for eSIM-based services. Germany’s largest telecommunications provider already uses an eSIM solution from G+D Mobile Security for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication in the automotive sector.

Munich/Wiesbaden (Germany), January 31, 2018 – In December 2017, the Cooperative Financial Network Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken in Germany started a “Family&Friends” pilot project for mobile payment via smartphones, using a digitized credit card or girocard (girocard being the most widely used payment card in Germany). This new mobile payment solution has been very well accepted, not only by the 200 employees of the two pilot banks, i.e. Volksbank Mittelhessen and VR-Bank HessenLand, but also by commerce and retailers.

Munich, January 16, 2018 – Global security technology group Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) has today announced the conclusion of a major contract. The Central Bank of Egypt has commissioned G+D with planning and building an integrated plant for the production and processing of bank notes in Egypt’s new administrative capital, southeast of Cairo. The project, with a volume of around €260 million, includes cutting-edge IT and security infrastructure as well as the setup of further regional centers.
