BPS® X9 is the successor to the BPS® 2000 OBIS, which – with more than 140 systems installed in over 40 print works – is the global benchmark for performing quality inspection of freshly printed banknotes. The BPS® X9 boosts the processing speed to 44 banknotes per second achieving an effective throughput of more than 150,000 banknotes per hour which makes it the fastest processing system in the world. The clarity of its design and the thoughtful user interface ensure intuitive and efficient operations. It is the central component of the Banknote Finishing Solution. It can be easily integrated with automated cutting and packaging, thus providing a true end-to-end solution for fully automated banknote finishing, from sheet to parcel.

From Sheet to Parcel – Fully Automated
The BPS® X9 can be directly connected to the CutLink X cutting system. This tailor-made combination receives the printed sheets and delivers maximum cutting accuracy of banknotes due to a feedback loop for cutting tolerances. The BPS® X9 checks each single banknote with a throughput of up to 150,000 banknotes p. hr. Notes with defects are shredded online while fit notes are stacked and pre-bundled. It is usually connected to the NotaPack® 10, generating shrink-wrapped banknote bundles and in addition it can connect to a second level packaging system for cardboard boxing or film packaging at the end of the process. This system yields a fully automated end to end finishing solution from sheet to parcel providing highest productivity and security.
Guaranteed Quality of Each Single Banknote
Sensors in the BPS® X9 like the NotaMaster® and NotaScan® sensor families are specifically designed to inspect the quality of freshly printed banknotes. During inspection, they check, record and evaluate the visible as well as machine-readable properties of the banknotes. Unacceptable printing flaws and excessive tolerances can be easily defined for each and every banknote design. A sensor calibration tool is available optionally and can be used to calibrate certain sensors on BPS® X9.

BPS® X9 records quality data for each banknote and stores this data in a central data base. By analyzing this data with tools like LUNA, a printer can detect repetitive flaws in his printing process and improve the yield of the printing process.
